ABOUT ME
Hi, I am a Masters qualified registered teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science degree, with honours in Applied Mathematics and Physics followed up with a Master of teaching degree in secondary Education. I have undertaken research into how students learn and how best to improve student outcomes.
I have written and implemented learning programmes for gifted and talented students, as well as remedial learners. I have a track record of improving grades across the board.
SUBJECTS/AREAS
My subject areas are Mathematics (all levels), physics (VCE and IB standard and higher) and general science.
I also teach exam technique, coach for NAPLAN testing, MYP Approaches To Learning, thinking and learning skills, tailor gifted and talented individualised programme across all age levels (specialising in teaching reasoning skills to the young).

MY METHOD
By understanding that we all learn in different ways at different rates I can tailor tutoring sessions to the students needs. I have a broad knowledge of learning theory, which I have successfully put into practice over many years. Using a mixture of good old fashioned tried and tested approaches to the more modern techniques requiring a full understanding of the individuals learning profile (all individual programmes will require the students completing a learning styles questionnaire).
Learning should be fun, not a chore. Students who laugh, learn better and retain information for longer. Students who learn to think through problems are more prepared for life and learning than students who merely concentrate on recalling facts, so making the learning of facts fun and teaching the student to apply those facts is the bases of what I aim to achieve.
